Music Monday: Diddy Dirty Money - Last Train To Paris (Album Review)

This "highly anticipated" album finally dropped. Seriously I think it should have just been shelved. This dude has been hyping this album for at least 2 years now. Now the album itself isnt horrible but it say something when IMO the 2 best songs on the album "Angels" and "Loving You No More" were singles and also feature Diddy in autotune. I seriously think that the whole Jay-Z D.O.A. song messed up this album. Like Diddy chose to scrap autotune and start rapping again. One song "Looking for Love" which "features" Usher is basically an Usher song with Diddy doing adlibs and 8 bars. One song I really like though is "Your Love" which features Trey Songz. The joint is real sexy and has Dawn singing the line "Let your tongue walk on this pussy!" out of nowhere! Overall I'm not feeling this album too much. There are a few tracks that I like but not feeling this overall.
One thing to note though I love how he put Rick Ross at the beginning of "Angels". Top 3 songs for me are "Angels (ft Rick Ross)", "Loving You No More (ft Drake)" and "Your Love (ft Trey Songz)".

My Knicks got the W over the Raptors with Ray Felton's sweet three that hit every part of the rim before going in. Rudy Gay hit another game winner. I think Im just going to start calling him "Dagger" he is definitely living up to that max contract. Derek Fisher with the easy ass layup. I guess you get stuff like that when you're on a team with Kobe. And Andrew Bogut with the easy alley-oop tip in for the W.

Serius Jones hopped on Wiz Khalifa's "Black And Yellow" beat and flipped it. I like the lyrics on this one when I read the title I thought it was going to be some type of hood chick diss or something but instead its a nice attempt to paint a picture of the hood. Check it out.

Music Monday: Tabi Bonney (@tabibonney) - Fresh (review)

Most people probably dont even know who Tabi Bonney is but this DC emcee has been doing his thing for years most notably would be his singles "The Pocket" or "You", which was in heavy rotation on VH1 Soul, from his first album A Fly Guy's Theme (which I liked). The way I would describe him is to mix the cockiness of Wale with the laid back style of Snoop and then throw a sort of international European vibe to it. The best way to describe this album is the title itself its "Fresh". Its something different about the vibe of this album than most albums that are coming out. Its real chill and real laid back. This is one of those albums you throw on in the car when you're driving to work sitting in traffic with just you, your thoughts, and the radio.

From the first track "Make A Killin" which features Pusha T it grabs you with his cocky appeal. Then with tracks such as "Fever" featuring Raheem Devaughn and "Sunlight" it to take you on a nice smooth ride. The track with Wale "Killer People" has a real live band/"Roots"ish feel to like like it would definitely sound great live. The album features notable artists such as Pusha T, Wale, Curren$y, and Raheem Devaughn.

I definitely would recommend you check out this album especially if you're looking for a new artist you haven't heard before.
